Privacy

Write does not create an account and does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics. This page is about the Write app, not other sites.

Documents

Your documents stay in the location you choose on your device, or in your own storage provider such as iCloud Drive. That provider applies its own policy. Write does not run a document server, and it does not upload a document to an app backend.

What is not collected

• An account, or any Write identity
• Usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or a tracking profile
• The contents of your documents

Recovery copies

Write keeps app-private recovery copies of unsaved work on your device only. Those copies are not uploaded by Write.

Remote images

Write contacts the network only when you choose Load Remote Images for a document. That request sends the image URL to its host, which can see your IP address and the requested URL. Write does not add the rest of your document, its filename, or cookies to the request. Images stay unloaded until you ask.
